Does Iken Cloud support single sign-on with providers other than Microsoft?
Currently, Iken Cloud requires a Microsoft 365/Azure setup. We are exploring wider identity provider compatibility and will share updates when available.
What if there’s a cyber incident that disrupts internal access, can Iken Cloud still be used?
Yes: users can access Iken Cloud from any internet-connected device via a browser. If you’re reliant on internal SSO, speak to your Account Manager about contingency planning.
Can Iken Cloud reflect our organisation’s legal structure and user roles?
Yes: user levels and permissions in Iken Cloud can be configured to reflect your legal team’s structure and responsibilities. Your Account Manager can help design a setup that suits your specific roles.
Do we have control over which documents are shared externally via the portal?
Absolutely: access is always controlled by internal users. Only selected files are shared, and sharing can be revoked at any time.
Is a separate SharePoint site required for Iken Cloud, or can we use our existing setup?
Iken Cloud integrates with your existing SharePoint environment. We work with you during onboarding to ensure document storage aligns with your organisational structure.
Can we track who has accessed or downloaded shared documents?
Yes: audit logs are available, and you can monitor portal interactions. This includes timestamps and file access records for externally shared documents.
Will future product updates be automatically applied to our system?
Yes: Iken Cloud operates on a release cycle, and updates are deployed automatically. This ensures you always have the latest features, without the need for manual upgrades.
Is Iken Cloud compatible with Outlook Classic?
Yes: but we recommend New Outlook for best results. You can still import and respond to emails via Outlook Classic, but documents are created using Outlook Web.
Can Superusers enforce system-generated matter references?
Yes: you can restrict user roles to use only the unique, system-generated reference numbers.
Are retention rules managed in Iken or Microsoft?
Retention is managed in-app, with final document deletion governed by your SharePoint recycle bin rules.
Can I see my team’s time recording as a manager?
Yes: managers can view, edit, and report on their team’s recorded time.
Can I request a tailored demo for my team?
Yes: your Account Manager can arrange a session tailored to your organisation’s needs.
